This session will introduce essential AI concepts—such as Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)—simply and engagingly. I will share practical examples and use cases, making these technologies relevant for project managers.

Facilitator | Madhusudan Nagaraja 

Madhusudan is currently serving on the Advisory Committee for PMI Infinity and as a reviewer for the CPMAI framework upgrade. His background includes leading large-scale modernization projects for state governments and driving secure technology implementations in the financial sector. He is passionate about advancing project management through the practical adoption of AI.

Recently, he spoke at AI Tinkerers on how project managers can navigate the AI era, and at Purdue University about AI trends, challenges, and ethical considerations in U.S. colleges. These experiences have reinforced his commitment to making AI accessible and actionable for project managers.

Facilitator | Palak Shah 

Palak Shah is currently serving as a Director of Program Lunch and Learn Series at PMI Dallas Chapter and running PMP in Practice study group along with monthly newsletter. She enjoys connecting project professionals together at Lunch & Learn and group events to have fun learning and sharing knowledge through content creation and collaborating with speakers on newer topics related to project management, leadership, emerging trends and artificial intelligence AI, etc.

Her educational background is in Bio-medical Engineering and Project Management with 10 plus years of experience in global cross-functional team collaboration at PMI, pharmaceutical and medical devices companies for System implementation training, planning analysis and change management.  Next, she is keen on bringing AI application along with PMP in Practice and support others on their project management journey.
