The Northeast Florida chapter has over 1,000 members and is guided by a Board of Directors (The Board). The Board performs strategic and tactical planning, develops, and manages the chapter finances, and plans and coordinates professional, educational, networking, and social events for the members.
If you would like to expand your leadership skills, give-back to your profession, and expand your network of local, regional, and national project management professionals, we encourage you to seek a position on the Board. Potential candidates are required to have a current PMI NEFL chapter membership in good standing. Serving on the Board is a wonderful opportunity to leave a mark on our chapter as we continue growing from a medium-sized chapter to a large chapter with the PMI network. Many current officers are continuing the position for the next 2 years.
The Open Positions Job Descriptions:
VP Communications: This elected position is responsible for managing and coordinating communication channels in accordance with chapter policies and By-laws. The communications group will be responsible for bringing the voice of PMI-NEFL to our internal members, external partners, and prospects through multiple channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and presentations.
VP Technology: This elected volunteer position is responsible for all aspects of chapter technology including acquisition of technology, support/maintenance of technology, data analytics, technology governance and long-range and annual planning of technology in accordance with any current or future PMI procedures and guidelines.
VP Membership: This elected or appointed volunteer is responsible for addressing the needs of chapter membership, needs of the volunteers, including recruitment, retention, volunteer leadership development training & support, volunteer recognition and associated value delivery in accordance with chapter policies and By-Laws.
President Elect: This position requires the candidate to have been on the board prior to applying for this position. The elected volunteer who will assist the President with his or her duties of managing the chapter and assume the role of the chapter President if he or she is unable to perform duties for any reason. Assumes the role of President at the completion of the President’s term. Board commitment – 5 years.
