April 2020 Professional Development Member Meeting: "Kanban: Stop Starting and Start Finishing" (1 PDU)
Presented by Jeanine McGuire, PMP, AKT, APO, MBA, MBB
Kanban is a visual system for managing work as it moves through a process. Leveraged extensively in both Agile and non-Agile environments, Kanban empowers teams to adeptly manage change and deliver value to customers. In this session, we discuss how Kanban:
- Facilitates partnership with customers to prioritize new work
- Streamlines the value chain and enhances customer focus
- Empowers teams and increases accountability
- Facilitates cross-training and team development
- Enhances management visibility and decision-making
- Reduces time to deliver
In addition, we’ll explore the use of Kanban in various environments – business and IT, local and virtual – while exploring commonly used Kanban software. We’ll even introduce a personal Kanban board for managing your day-to-day work.
