Topic Of Discussion:
In this talk, Chris examines the influence of project management methodologies, specifically Agile and Waterfall, on project execution efficiency and effectiveness and delves into their unique attributes and their suitability for different project types, highlighting Agile's suitability for projects involving new technologies, uncertain requirements, or continuous feedback needs, and Waterfall's aptness for projects with routine tasks or clearly defined requirements. From there we look at the underlying organizational structures needed for each, some of the hidden challenges they hold, how Hybrid methodologies, cutting edge concepts and AI tools might provide a new future for project management.
Speaker:
Chris Norcia has a long career of consulting to dozens of Fortune 500 companies as the Principal Client contact for leading Business & Technology consulting firms. He is passionate about innovating and creating new ways to view organizational structures and processes -- using a polymathic approach to problem solving and designing new concepts to remodel challenges by viewing them in original, combinatorial ways.
He began his career as an Air Force Officer after working his way thru school as a Chef in London and a nationally recognized Poet. While a graduate student at the Air Force Institute of Technology, (Captain) Norcia invented the world’s first three-dimensional chess cube, before being assigned to Washington DC and working with DARPA on early Artificial Neural Networks and DARPANET.
He is currently finishing his soon to be published book on the History of AI, while residing in Florida, teaching various Martial Arts, and researching Oenology.
