A few years ago, I was trying to find a way to track projects more efficiently. I wanted to be able to give stakeholders and sponsors real-time updates. But, I wanted to be able to do it in a way where I didn’t have to spend endless hours updating tasks. I reached out to other project managers to get some ideas. They were all great, there was an access database, a software tool, an excel spreadsheet, and of course Microsoft Project. However, none of those tools worked for me! Maybe you’re in the same dilemma, or maybe you have mastered this with “your favorite tool.” Let’s get together to discuss the tools we use, the pros and cons and learn from each other. Who knows, maybe your tool will be my next favorite tool!

I have been with Citizens since 2007. Over the years I have worn many hats. No matter what role I was in, I was always asked to work on projects. I found my niche in managing those projects. So, in 2015, I switched gears and changed my career path from Management to Project Management instead. Working my way up from Project Coordinator to an Intermediate Project Manager. I obtained my PMP in 2017, and PMI-ACP in 2020. I have my bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management. I love working with people, motivating teams, and working on process improvement projects. I manage multiple projects for our Quality Improvement team, create and track Strategic Plans and ensure projects are aligned to our strategic goals and initiatives.
