Fall is a great time of year for anything pumpkin, apple cider, taffy apples, and football! This month, some also celebrate the Halloweeen holiday with their children. As adults, we typically don’t get a chance to go “Trick or Treating.” To spice things up, we are having a promotion to share Project Management “Tricks and Tips.” If you have a great trick or tip for Project Managers, please post on our Facebook page. At the end of October, we will select four people to receive a special “treat”! We have some upcoming events planned so please be sure to review details below or check the website: https://pmi-nefl.org/. We are continuing with our virtual meetings to keep everyone safe.
Requesting Your Patience and Some Assistance
In mid-July, our VP of Programs, Valorie Stoeber, sustained a broken ankle and required surgery. She is on the path to recovery, though it is slow. Valorie is stable and has the assistance she needs for her recovery.
Following in early August, our VP of Technology, Amanda Johnson, sustained two broken wrists and also required surgery. She is on approximately a 6-month recovery path from date of surgery. Amanda’s injury limits her capacity to a much greater extent, and daily life function is a severe challenge, although improving slowly.
Amanda has significant physical assistance for her recovery, as well. However, she could use an extra hand in one area. Her brother setup the following page with more details and how you can assist her, if you are willing and able: http://gf.me/u/yutizi.
Additionally, the Tech Team has had two key resignations, leaving one person to cover web content. Needless to say, we are doing everything we can to help alleviate excess load for him.
In light of these unfortunate events, we ask your patience with the chapter’s leadership as we adjust and continue to make every effort to provide you, our members, every opportunity to network, learning new skills and information, and gain PDU’s.
We are planning to continue with our virtual meetings to keep everyone safe. We wish our two injured leaders graceful and speedy recoveries, and we hope our full membership is doing well and wish you all good health!
