Shelon Pounds has over 24 years of leadership and project management, successfully leading diverse teams as small as 4 to as large as 1005 across wide-ranging industries – military, investment real estate, and grocery retail.
Shelon proudly served 9 years in the U.S. Navy as both a Supply Corps Officer and Training & Administration of Reservists (TAR) Officer, and in March 1996, had the distinct honor of being the first woman crewmember onboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71).
In 2003, Shelon transitioned from military to the private sector, and later to the Fortune 500 company, Whole Foods Market, climbing from an Assistant Department Manager to the Florida Region Customer Service Program Director in just 2 years, 9 months through effective leadership, innovative team development, and on-time project management.
Currently, Shelon is the Founder and CEO of ESHELON, Inc. a professional training and development firm that mentors and teaches managers her proven strategic approach and tactical methodologies on how to build trust-based, high-performing teams.
Shelon holds a B.S. in Graphic Design from Florida A&M University and two master degrees - an MBA, and an MA in Management and Leadership from Webster University (summa cum laude). She also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
An avid graphic designer and dog lover, Shelon also loves to hike and watch classic movies with her husband, Jamie.
