2019 PMI NEFL Chapter Board of Directors Elections Announcement

The Northeast Florida chapter has almost 1,000 members and is guided by a Board of Directors (Board).  The Board performs strategic and tactical planning, develops and manages the chapter finances, and plans and coordinates professional, educational, networking, and social events for the members.  

Election 2019If you would like to expand your leadership skills, give-back to your profession, and expand you network of local, regional, and national project management professionals, we encourage you to seek a position on the Board.   The only requirement is that you are a PMI NEFL member in good standing.   Serving on the Board is a great opportunity to leave a mark on our chapter as we continue growing from a medium sized chapter to a large chapter with the PMI network.

In 2019, the PMI NEFL membership will have the opportunity to elect one new member to the Board.   The position is for Vice President of Sponsorships.  The Vice President of Sponsorship will be responsible for working with our local community for opportunities to partner with corporate, higher education, recruiting, and other not-for-profit organizations to provide value to the PMI NEFL Chapter.   Candidates should be comfortable talking about the value that project, program, and portfolio management brings to an organization, reaching out to local companies to seek creative opportunities to partner, and working with the other Board members to understand the chapter needs and opportunities for program sponsorship.   

Elections will be held in January 2019.   The term officially begins April 2019 for two years.   The Board will work with the newly elected Board member from Election night until April on transition activities.   Involvement in the monthly board meetings and the 2019 strategic planning session will be expected prior to April 1st.

November 1st , 2018 – January 11th, 2019 Applications received by Nominations Committee and interviews completed.
January 14th, 2019 – January 25th, 2019 Voting / Ballots Open
January 21st, 2019 Candidates will be announced at Dinner Meeting by Nominating Committee
Candidate will have an opportunity to speak to the membership at the January Dinner Meeting.
January 26th, 2019 – March 31st 2019 Board role transition and Planning meetings
April 15th, 2019 2019 Board of Directors announced at April Dinner Meeting.
